VISIBLE ROOT REDUCTION
SMOOTH THE TROUBLE SPOTS.
PROTECT THE SCOPE.
Surface root removal is usually selective. We focus on visible raised roots and root flare that block normal yard use, while avoiding unsafe areas near utilities, foundations, irrigation, hardscape or structural roots.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
The technician reviews the visible root spread, safe grinding depth, nearby obstacles, intended finish and cleanup level. Approved roots are reduced only where site conditions allow and where grinding will not create unreasonable risk.
MOWER PATHS
Reduce selected raised roots that catch mower decks or make lawn maintenance harder.
WALKING AREAS
Address visible root bumps in practical walking or yard-use zones when conditions are safe.
YARD PREP
Prepare root-heavy areas for basic soil, mulch, seed or landscape cleanup after grinding.
IMPORTANT LIMITS
- Not full excavation: surface root grinding does not remove the complete underground root system.
- Site safety matters: roots near structures, utilities, irrigation, hardscape or retaining walls may be excluded.
- Finish varies: soil, chips, root hardness and root depth affect how smooth the final area can become.
PHOTOS THAT HELP US QUOTE
Send one wide photo of the root area, one close photo of the raised roots, one access photo and any notes about irrigation, lighting, utilities, fences, hardscape or future plans for the space.
