ROOT GRINDING ADD-ON
REDUCE SURFACE ROOTS.
SMOOTH THE TROUBLE SPOTS.
Raised root grinding is for visible surface roots and root flare that interfere with mowing, walking, fence lines, planting, or basic yard prep. It works best when it is quoted together with stump grinding photos and access details.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
The technician identifies the selected raised roots, checks nearby hardscape, irrigation, utilities, slope and access, then grinds only the approved visible roots that can be reduced safely. Basic cleanup of the immediate work area is included unless a larger haul-away or restoration scope is added.
MOWING HAZARDS
Reduce roots that catch mower decks, create bumps, or make routine yard maintenance harder.
FENCE & LANDSCAPE PREP
Clear selected root flare before straightforward fence, planting, soil, or grading prep work.
STUMP + ROOT PACKAGES
Bundle visible root grinding with stump grinding when the work area and access are already set up.
IMPORTANT SCOPE NOTES
- Not full root-system removal: grinding reduces selected visible roots; it does not excavate every underground root.
- Safety first: roots near foundations, utilities, irrigation, retaining walls, pavement, or fences may need inspection before approval.
- Price depends on spread: final pricing is based on root length, hardness, depth, access, obstacles, and cleanup expectations.
PHOTOS THAT HELP US QUOTE
Send one wide photo of the area, one close photo of the raised roots, and one access-path photo from the street or driveway. If the roots are tied to a stump, include the stump diameter and the full root flare.
